"This was one of two songs on the album I'd written before I started the project. It was originally just solo piano and I felt it needed to stay that way. So I put the piano in the middle and built up around in, dropping in instruments as support struts. Aside from the drums, everything is a keyboard instrument, including the wall-of-noise "heavy guitar" sound, which is a Yamaha Electric Grand through two distorted amps.
